Im not sure when a Wendigo became a strange gorilla ogre thing, instead of the gaunt, cannibal spirit that was the basis of the original Wendigo myths, but it seems to be the norm in most modern fantasy games and such. Makes me wonder who was the first person to change the mold? Maybe there they thought there were enough ghosties in the monster manual and said "nah, hes gonna be a monkey now.." In any case, gorilla ogres are a lot funner to draw than ghosts, so im not complaining!
I used a golden snub nosed monkey as reference for this guy to try and give him a more unique look than the average grey/white/blue color scheme that I usually see them with.
